Privacy
We collect as little as we can: your email address if you sign up to The Brief, what you send if you comment on the standard, and nothing for advertising.
Last updated 29 October 2026Who we are
Lending Intelligence Ltd is the controller of your personal data. See our contact page.
What we collect
- The Brief: your email address, where on the site you signed up, and when you confirmed or unsubscribed. We use it only to send The Brief.
- Comments on the Specialist Lending File Standard: your name, firm, role, the section you commented on, your comment, and whether you asked to be credited. We use them only to revise the standard and, if you ask, to name you in the published responses.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the site.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your details with lenders, brokers or advertisers.
Lawful basis
We send The Brief with your consent, which you give by confirming your address from the email we send. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. Consultation comments are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in revising the standard; we name you in the published responses only if you tick the box to be credited. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure site.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores the subscriber list and consultation comments.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Vercel hosts the site.
How long we keep it
We keep your address while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of the address and the date so we don't email you again. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Consultation comments are deleted once the version of the standard that answers them has been published, except for the name and firm of anyone who asked to be credited, which stay in the published responses.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
